This is Charlie's  boat, a 1928 Fitzgerald & Lee, 28'  8cyl, 350 hp... Charlie's been at this project boat for about five years now.  During the summer, in 1996, he spent time at Bill Morgan's shop on Lake George gutting the boat and replacing the bottom.This past fall and winter he has been busy first constructing a structure to work on the boat, and blocking out the interior.  This entailed a new seating arrangement and engine compartment.  He also had the enjoyable task of grinding down the outside and plugging all the screw holes.  Next comes a shaft and the purchase of a new engine. It is amazing where all the money goes...but when you're done... return.
